NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) is looking for patient experts who wear digital hearing aids.
They are looking for adults who have, or do use, hearing aids, to help them to develop recommendations about the use of technologies in the NHS. Many people with tinnitus will use hearing aids to deliver sound therapy.
For this guidance, they are looking at different types of hearing aids, including those that sit behind the ear and those that just go inside the ear.
The patient experts are asked to attend meetings and share your own experience of wearing hearing aids. Having people with real life experience really helps NICE to consider health care. NICE can then consider hearing aids, and what their use really means to people.
New hearing aid technology is developing all the time, so it is important to have views known. The Tinnitus Clinic is a private clinic so can provide aids from many manufacturer. Discreet, in ear hearing aids | The Tinnitus Clinic
