A ‘culture of high-quality sustainable care’ – Tinnitus Clinic rated ‘Good’ in all areas

  July 3rd, 2019

The Tinnitus Clinic has been rated ‘Good’ in all areas by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Designed to get to the heart of patients’ experiences of care and treatment, the CQC assessed The Tinnitus Clinic in the following areas:

  • Is it safe?
  • Is it effective?
  • Is it caring?
  • Is it responsive to people’s needs?
  • Is it well-led?

The report from the CQC describes how staff treat patients with “kindness, respect and compassion” and noted the clinic’s “culture of high-quality sustainable care”.

Staff were recognised as “consistent and proactive in empowering patients and supporting them to manage their own health and maximise their independence” and for helping patients to be “involved in decisions about care and treatment”.

The service was described as having “a clear vision and credible strategy to deliver high-quality care and promote good outcomes for patients” and “took account of patient needs and preferences”, ensuring they’re able to receive care and treatment “within an appropriate timescale”.

Josephine Swinhoe, director of The Tinnitus Clinic, which offers treatment from 12 sites across the UK, said: “We are immensely proud to have been rated as ‘Good’ across all areas by the CQC.

“At The Tinnitus Clinic we stick to our principles – offering a highly personalised service and a commitment to audiological best practices, and only treatments and devices that show the strongest scientific evidence and highest chance of a successful outcome.

“These are the foundations our business was built on and we continue to work hard to uphold our impressive reputation.”

The CQC is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. It monitors, inspects and regulates services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality.
