Warrington clinic launches ‘life changing’ tinnitus treatments

Two pioneering tinnitus treatments have been introduced for the first time at a hearing clinic in Warrington, offering new hope to thousands of sufferers.

It is estimated just over 16,000 adults in Warrington suffer from tinnitus – the sensation of hearing a ringing, whizzing, roaring, buzzing, hissing or other type of continuous sound which has no external source.

Warrington Hearing Services Ltd is now licensed by the UK’s leading provider of tinnitus treatments – The Tinnitus Clinic – to provide both Tinnitus Desensitisation Therapy™ (TDT) and Levo Therapy™.

TDT is a new therapeutic pathway specially designed for patients who suffer with invasive tinnitus. TDT provides a bespoke range of therapies selected to meet an individual’s tinnitus acoustic profile and experience of tinnitus. Therapeutic techniques are used to control tinnitus awareness with the long-term goal of encouraging the brain to filter out the tinnitus perception from consciousness.
